Since the inception of VTMA we have felt that it was important for our organization to emphasize safety. At the outset we started work to accomplish that goal and in 2005 we finished work (until the next revision) on a phamphlet, Trail Safety And Etiquette Guidelines For Mushers. This phamphlet, among other things, has been important in establishing our working relationship with the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) and we hope you will download and read this important document. Our next project in this vein will be a phamphlet whose working title is What To Expect When Approaching A Sled Dog Team.
